Badger Spring Wash is the most popular trail on the Monument. From the trailhead parking lot, the sandy trail meanders in the bottom of the canyon 0.7 miles downsteam to the confluence with the Agua Fria River. This trail sometimes has an interrupted surface flow. The stream bank is lined with delicate vegetation and Goodding's willow. An occasional rattlesnake may be encountered so it's a good idea to watch your step and keep dogs on a leash.
Springtime (March) is the best for desert flowers. Post monsoon (September- November) is good for sunflowers and butterflies.
