Agua Fria Day

Celebrate the resources and recreational opportunities found on the Monument. We'll have presentations addressing the cultural and natural resources found in the nearby Monument.  Each organization or individual will give a short presentation about their mission and ongoing local work!  The tentative schedule is below:

7:30 am to 8:00 am - Set up and coffee/light breakfast for FAFNM members and speakers

8:00 am to 8:30am -Welcome from FAFNM and HDHM

  Tim Flood, FAFNM President and Water Team Lead

  Connie Stone, FAFNM Cultural Resources Committee

  Luke Edens, FAFNM Dark Skies

8:30 am - Patti Fenner, Friends of the Tonto National Forest

8:45 am - Gail Morris, Southwest Monarch Study

9:00 am - Davis Blasini, ASU/Desert Botanical Garden

9:15 am -Dan Koepke, Desert Botanical Garden 

9:30 am - BLM

INTERMISSION

10:00 am - Steven Prager, Audubon Arizona

10:15 am - Manuel Lucero, Smoki Museum of American Indian Art and Culture

10:30 am - Mark, Rattlesnake Garage

This free event does not require registration.  We hope you can join us. If you have any questions or can volunteer to help with set up/clean up, contact Sarah at sarah.striker@aguafriafriends.org

LATER IN THE DAY:

1:30 pm at Albin's Civic Ctr (Masonic Lodge) in Black Canyon City: Connie Stone presents on Cultural Importance of the Agua Fria. 

4:00-8:00 pm : dinner at Chipotle benefits FAFNM; 2470 West Happy Valley Road; Suite 1181.  Mention FAFNM to the cashier so we get the benefit.
