The Agua Fria National Monument Visitor Center is located inside the Black Canyon Heritage Park

33955 Old Black Canyon Highway, Black Canyon City, AZ 85324

Open from 9am to 1pm daily except the following dates:

Exceptions : January 1, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Friday after Thanksgiving Day, December 24, December 25

The Monument was set aside by Presidential Proclamation in January 2000 by President Bill Clinton to protect its extensive and important cultural resources. See the Proclamation from this important day.

Agua Fria National Monument Proclamation

The Agua Fria National Monument is a beautiful place to visit, but we also ask visitors to stay safe while visiting the monument. Protecting yourself from dehydration and temperatures, firearm safety and respecting archeological sites are among the most important safety guidelines.
