FAFNM is holding guided walks on Monument streams during 2019.  These interpretive tours will promote the AZ Water/Ways Smithsonian traveling exhibit. It arrives in Black Canyon City in mid-December 2019.

The first walk, on March 16, is targeted to elementary and high school science teachers, and FAFNM members.  We will highlight how runoff sustains the riparian habitat and wildlife of the sandy wash.  The tour will be held from 8am-11am.  Length: 0.7 miles, one way.  Expect a trickle of flow, some mud, and small rocks.   Size limit: 17 persons.

Badger Spring Wash is located 50 miles north of Phx, off I-17 exit #256, one mile east of the Interstate.  Teachers are welcome to bring cell phones and share their nature apps.  Free event; meet-up details provided upon registration.
