Learn about a very special area of prehistoric cultural significance in central Arizona, open today to hiking, photography and exploration across mesa tops, deep canyons and wild and scenic areas.
Speakers: Connie Stone, PhD, Retired BLM Archaeologist, speaking on the establishment and history of Agua Fria National Monument; Mike Hoogendyk, Author and explorer of the Perry Mesa area, showing photographs of features and artifacts found in the area - including lots of petroglyphs.
No drinks or food allowed in the Quail Room - other than bottled water.
Handouts regarding the monument will be available; also a limited number of books will be available for sale.
